On September 9, 2022, the Carmel Greyhounds faced the visiting Pike Red Devils in an exciting matchup that saw Carmel jump out of the gates fast with Winston Berglund returning a punt to the house, followed by a Reece Bellin touchdown reception and a Nick Beidl touchdown run. Pike finally got on the board midway through the third quarter, with a touchdown run from Jeremiah Berry. Berglund sealed the game in the 4th for Carmel with an interception return for a touchdown, and after a Red Devils touchdown in the last minute, the final score came out to a 34-14 Greyhound victory.
