This year, something new that WHJE is incorporating is an awareness month. For September, we are recognizing Pediatric Cancer Awareness. Cancer is the second leading cause of death in children and more than 300,000 adolescents will be diagnosed this year. To raise awareness, we have focused specific live shows, PSA’s, promos, and social media posts for our audience. We want to not only educate ourselves but our listeners as well. Here at WHJE we stand up to Childhood cancer and we encourage you to do so too.
