C’mon and slam and welcome to Homecoming! Day Four and we’ve gone to the stars! Todays theme was Space vs Space Jam. There have been a lot of NBA Jerseys and Bugs Bunny’s today at Carmel High School. Lukas Cortizo Pereira was wearing a Tune Squad Jersey from Michael Jordan’s hit 1996 Classic Space Jam. “I bought this for Halloween two years ago. I’m tryna play for both sides, both Space and Space Jam.” When asked about what he thought about this theme he had this to say, “I don’t think we’ve had this theme before. There’s a lot more people dressing this year, because its’s easier to have this for spirit week than in previous years.”
In Space Jam, Jordan and Bugs Bunny had to team up to play basketball together to beat the Monstars, a group of Aliens who stole the talent of pro basketball players to try and save their failing theme park. Years later NBA Superstar LeBron James starred in Space Jam: A New Legacy. In which James had to go into the digital world to save his son from an evil computer named Al G Rhythm. The performance earned James a Razzie award for worst actor.
