It’s been another successful week at 91.3 WHJE. This week, the station started gearing up for our biggest fundraiser of the year, Rileython. Started by Jess Cooper in 2020, WHJE’S Rileython has raised over $25,000 for Carmel Dance Marathon, which gives 100% of its proceeds to Riley Children’s Hospital. The fundraising for Rileython officially starts now and ends on the night of Sunday, February 18th. To donate, be sure to click the “Donate to Rileython” button on our home page.
Now for our music show spotlight of this week: Baylor’s Trax. Seniors Baylor Monson and Braeden White go live every Tuesday at 5:30 PM to discuss their favorite songs, artists, movies, and they even throw in some NFL updates. Baylor and Braeden are sure to keep the energy going as they talk about everything from Travis Scott’s most recent album to Justin Jefferson’s career with the Vikings, so you won’t want to miss a single episode.
Our talk show spotlight this week is on She’s History: a national award winning live show that is hosted by seniors Kate Belanger, Ava Beckman, and Cameron Geddes. The hosts of She’s History provide their listeners with a feminist outlook as they discuss important female historical figures, the stigmas surrounding certain products or ideas, and the impact that female accomplishments have on the world today. You won’t want to miss She’s History every Monday at 5:30 PM, only on 91.3 WHJE.
