About the Contributors
My Name is Evan Sample, and this will be my first year in staff! Im involved in a lot of band stuff and I play three instruments. When it comes to radio my favorite part is the creative freedom I’m given and the challenge to make every production better than the last.
Leanna Romero is a third year staff member on WHJE. She does two live shows – Shmiggle Shmorp with Evan Sample, and The Generation Gap with Audrey Paskins and Ruby Cummings. Leanna was an IBS nominee for best foreign language live show in 2023, winning second place. She is excited for what the 2024-2025 season has in store, not only for radio but for her senior year in general, since outside of radio she does marching band, diving, and gymnastics. Leanna loves to be apart of 91.3 WHJE and is so grateful to be included in something so unique as it is Carmel’s only radio station!

Sounded good and flowed well but had a lot of repeating and also had some background noise that made it hard to hear at some times. It was good that some people believed the lions would win and the others thought the Pokémon would win.

I loved the segment where you guys chose which celebrities you would be, it was really funny and gave insight into your personalities and the chemistry that you have as hosts. I will say that it would be beneficial to add a bumper or intro at the start of your mixdown so that readers know what they’re listening to, I was a little confused when I clicked play and someone was talking about impractical jokers(even though I love them).

I think this sounded really good! I enjoyed the one billion lions vs. all Pokemon conversation. You guys work really well off of each other and there was always something being said.
