March was the craziest month of my exchange. I traveled to two new countries, saw waterfalls, got a mosquito virus, and got great WHJE news.
First off, I traveled to Argentina to see their side of these famous waterfalls. While I loved Argentina, the Brazilian side was better in my opinion. Paraguay was also a cool country, though all I saw was this hydroelectric power plant, but I want to see more of the country.
Now, the waterfalls, so beautiful. The two days in the two countries, I walked several kilometers on the side of a mountain and on top of waterfalls. If anything take a trip to Foz De Iguaçu in Brazil and go see them yourself they are stunning!
The mosquito virus. Three days before my trip, I had a low fever and horrible head pain, I didn’t know what was wrong. I rested and took it easy, then Saturday the day before my flights, I took a blood test and found out the truth. I had Dengue. Luckily though it was light and I had no symptoms other than headaches so I took the risk and went on my trip, thankfully the virus is only contagious with mosquitoes so I didn’t get anyone else sick. All in all, I have learned the power of repellent and will be more careful when I go to the Amazon.
The WHJE news! All roads lead back to the station. I’m sure the news has been told already but you’re reading the words of the next WHJE Blog Manager. That’s right, this exchange year series won’t be the last of me!
