On this Rileython episode, we took the time to honor some LEGENDARY musicians who have battled Cancer, all while encouraging listeners to donate to our cause. In the end, we raised over $250 for the kids at Riley Hospital for Children! We even paid homage to one particular musician who is very near and dear to our hearts.

Hey! I’m Ella McElroy, one of WHJE’s Events Managers. My job is to plan and organize all of the events we do here around the station such as Rileython, Last Rock of Summer, and Radiothon. I’m also a member of the live show department, where you can catch my show “Live & Local” with my co-host Ava as we interview local musicians and play their music live on air! Besides radio, I enjoy playing guitar and piano, reading, listening to music, and all things Snoopy. I’m looking forward to making my last year at WHJE the best one yet!

Hey! I’m Ava McElroy, and I’ll be the Music Manager for WHJE! I make sure that the station is working properly, and I also have the job of adding new songs to the rotation. I have a lot of work cut out for me, but I’m excited to get started! You can also catch me on my live show, Live & Local with my co-host and twin sister, Ella! Aside from radio, I also enjoy drawing, singing in choir, and playing bass guitar. I’m excited to make my final year with WHJE the best one yet!
