This past week marked WHJE’s annual Christmas party, where staff compete with booth decorating; make gingerbread houses; and give secret Santa presents. The party has been, for years, a way for staff to meet other staff members and have a final bit of fun before ACE week.

In the days leading up to the party, classes and departments stayed late to decorate their respective booths. Each group took Christmas decor to a new level, including wrapping paper walls; inflatable characters; and elves straight from the North Pole. Ultimately the winning booth was the Sports Department’s! At the party, teams were made to compete in Gingerbread House creation, yet a winner is still undecided. Later, superlatives were handed out ranging from silliest goose to most likely to sleep through their broadcast. Finally the group ended with snacking on more cookies, as well as passing out secret Santa presents.
