Josh Melby, Beats Manager
Josh Melby is a national award-winning on air personality for The Greyhound Media Network. As a senior in his third year of radio, he has taken on the role of Beats Manager here at the station. However, Melby dedicates most of his time in radio to his sports broadcasts. Throughout the years he has broadcasted nearly every sport from football, to basketball, even to softball and so on. He not only broadcasts Carmel Highschool sports, but talks about professional sports on his live show, At The Buzzer. At The Buzzer has been around since 2022, and features Josh Melby, JT Moore, Hudson Kirsh, and Josh Ott. Now Melby has done additional work with CHTV. As a matter of fact Melby was awarded the best Television Pregame Show in the nation alongside Dashaun Barnes, for their Football Pregame Show vs. Warren Central in his junior year. Apart from his time spent in media, you can catch Melby serving in CHS Student Government, or playing rec sports with his buddies!

Gavin Snyder, currently a junior, will be going into his third year with WHJE. Gavin hopes to continue to do more sports broadcasts with the station, including hopefully his first football broadcast. When he’s not travelling for broadcasts, you might hear Gavin in the studio, as he has two shows: The Starting 5 and The Sideline Cast. Outside of WHJE, you might spot Gavin on stage in the auditorium, as he is current a Cellist in the Carmel Orchestra. This year, Gavin hopes to win his first WHJE award and maybe receive some national awards on top of that.

Paulina Arana, Events Manager
Paulina Arana, a current senior, has done a lot during her last 3 years involved in this radio program. Her most highlighted achievement was her previous show, Mood Swings, winning a national title for Best Morning Show and a state title for Best Radio Show. Hosted along her co-host Olivia Grimes, Mood Swings consisted of having different moods each week in which the girls played songs that went along with that mood. They also shared some stories that correlated with the mood and advice from their own experiences. Mood Swings was also a major contributor to the Rileython Fundraiser that the station hosts raising money for Riley Children’s Hospital. She also brought her culture into the station by hosting a show all in Spanish in honor of Hispanic Heritage month alongside current senior, Leanna Romero, and some of the members from the Latinex Student Alliance club at CHS. This show called En Vivo won runner up for a national award for Best Foreign Language Program. Additionally, Arana has recently gotten the position of events manager and will be coordinating all of the major events as she heads into her senior year alongside senior Hudson Kirsh. She will be navigating what the future holds as her previous co-host, Olivia Grimes, has graduated and the time of Mood Swings has come to an end. Stay tuned to see what this talented radio host does next within the station!
