On April 28th and 29th, the students at Carmel High were able to speak with published authors and artists who encouraged them to broaden their horizons and be more open to creativity in their daily lives. The students especially liked some of the more hands-on arts-and-crafts activities. One of the artists there is an upcycler who encouraged students to take pages out of her books – literally – to make paper flowers and other creations. Published authors made appearances as well and talked to students about being published and how to come up with writing inspiration.
