WHJE UPDATE: This past week has been possibly one of WHJE’s biggest and most successful weeks of the year. And the reason is: Rileython. This year was WHJE’s 5th annual Rileython, a weekend-long pledge drive that raises money for Riley Hospital for Children. This week, the station blew past our goal of $15,000, raising a whopping $16,000 for the kids at Riley. All week, WHJE has been preparing for this weekend full of live shows, basketball, and lots of cake, and our hard work has paid off exponentially. A huge congratulations goes out to all WHJE staff members, specifically our events managers KC Stephens and Ella McElroy, and our staff leader Dominic James. And of course, we couldn’t have done any of this without our amazing donors, so thank you to anyone who donated to this great cause.
MUSIC SHOW: Our spotlighted music show this week is the one and only Live and Local with the legendary twin duo, Charlie and Ella McElroy. Your hosts Charlie and Ella bring different local musicians on air for an interview and either a live or recorded performance of the artist’s work. You won’t want to miss out on all the talented local musicians here in Carmel, so tune in to Live and Local every Friday at 4:30 PM.
TALK SHOW: This week, our spotlighted talk show is Word on the Block with your hosts, Jaxon and Myer, who discuss the hottest recent news.
