Beyond the Beat – Episode 14
Piper Rigney, a senior at Carmel High School and a fourth-year radio staff. She has a music live show called “Beyond The Beat” where she talks about all different kinds of music genres! Outside of school, she loves to hang out with friends, family, travel, and listen to music!
Riley Alderman is a senior at Carmel High School and a fourth-year radio student at WHJE. She is the 25-26 staff year Website Manager in addition to being an on-air host. Currently, she is the host of Motivational Minute, a talk show where Riley specializes in providing unprofessional advice. You can tune in to Motivational Minute on Monday mornings at 7:45 a.m. Outside of the station, Riley enjoys student government where she represents the class of 2026 as a senator, an executive dance marathon member, and a member of the Superintendent Principal Advisory Council. Riley’s passion is non-profit work, specifically with Twisted Pink to raise funds for metastatic breast cancer. Riley is always up to something, whether it’s being the captain of Unified Sports, reading a classic novel, or simply surviving senior year.

I was so disappointed too when I found out Billie didn’t win the Grammy. I couldn’t believe Cowboy Carter got it. You guys did well explaining how most people felt reacting to the Grammys.
