On this final episode of Music and Motivational Minute, DJ Riley Alderman bids farewell to her four-year WHJE career. In this hour-long episode, Alderman reminisces on her favorite memories and music. Featuring artists that were critical to her development such as Journey, Taylor Swift, Fleetwood Mac, Train, The White Stripes, The Avett Brothers, The Beatles, and others. Most importantly, Alderman finally declares her favorite song as Float On by Modest Mouse, and as we have established in the past four years, her opinion is fact. Next year, Alderman will attend the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington, studying operations management. She is a Thomasson Fellow for the Kelley Institute for Social Impact, and plans to study abroad in Italy.
Now a note from the host:
Thank you WHJE Radio for the past four years. When entering my principles of broadcasting class freshman year, I truly did not know what I was in for. I knew I liked to talk and I liked music; I figured both of these things would develop, but I never guessed I would meet the most driven and talented group of students ever. If you are a senior, I urge you to not look at graduation as an ending, but the beginning of a new chapter. If you are an incoming or current Carmel student, I encourage you to look into involvement in the station. And finally, if you have been a listener of my shows over the past four years, I thank you for your time and dedication. A station is nothing without an audience, just as a classroom is nothing without a teacher. For the last time, have a magnificent monday!
