Reilly Sweeney is going to be a senior this year and is in his 4th year of radio. Reilly is in the sports department and is one of the sports managers this year alongside Cooper Sanders. Reilly does a sports live show called the Starting 5 with Cooper Sanders, Charlie Dein, and Gavin Snyder. Reilly is the play-by-play commentator for varsity football this year, as well as varsity mens basketball and also broadcasts lacrosse, baseball, softball, basketball, swimming, and soccer. Outside of radio, Reilly is a swimmer and loves playing golf and pickleball.
Cooper Sanders is a senior in his 4th year of radio and has been appointed as sports manager for this school year! Cooper has a variety of different things in radio that keeps him busy, but his absolute favorite thing is broadcasting varsity sports with his co-managers, such as Carmel football and basketball or even swimming. Another thing that he enjoys is his weekly live shows, The Starting 5 and The Sideline Cast, where he talks about all things sports. Although he accomplished his main goal in becoming sports manager, he still has big expectations for himself as he is looking to win a national and state award this year. Throughout the year, Cooper plans on passing on his knowledge to the juniors and sophomores so that the station is in the best sport possible when he leaves. Outside of radio, you can catch him being a Carmel dads club coach and player in the fall, and supporting the Colts and Pacers.
Hi, my name is Evan Bardos and this will be my 4th year in radio. This coming year I will be the second-year manager. In general, you will see me helping out the newer students with radio. Other than that, I enjoy being a part of the sports department where I broadcast many sports over the school year. I am also a part of the live show The Sideline Cast where I discuss football and basketball. Outside of radio, I play club soccer as well as high school soccer. I am very excited for this upcoming year and if you have any questions about radio, please feel free to ask me.
Charlie Dein is a senior and entering his 3rd and final year on WHJE staff, and his fourth year since joining WHJE. Since he joined staff in Fall 2023, Charlie has worked in the sports department, and is one of the 5 co-hosts of the sports show “The Starting 5”. Charlie has also done many sports broadcasts across his 2 years, including basketball, both men’s and women’s, baseball, softball, lacrosse, soccer, and football. He will be taking on the role of Sports Social Media Manager & Promo Manager for the 2025-2026 school year. His goal is to enhance the engagement for WHJE Sports and continue his repertoire of sports broadcasting. Make sure to listen for Charlie on “The Starting 5!”.
Alex Cole is going to be a senior this year, and a fourth year in radio. This year he is going to be one of the events managers alongside Chloe Jones, and they are both super excited to help the station this year. On top of being one of the events managers, Alex has two live shows, the first being Movie Music Mayhem with Jack Cassidy and Grant Ringenberg and sometimes Nick Luther, as well as having a solo show called The Sound Wave. Outside of that, Alex is also going to do sideline for the Varsity football games, as well as broadcasting soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball games. Outside of the radio, Alex runs cross country and track, referees soccer games, and loves listening to music.
Gavin Snyder is going to be a senior in his 4th year with WHJE, and is one of the Beats Managers alongside Will Engledow. They are both looking forward to interviewing students and faculty from around the school, and members of the Carmel community! Alongside being a member of the Varsity Football broadcast crew, Gavin has two sports live shows: The Starting 5 and The Sideline Cast. Outside of the studio, Gavin is a cellist in the Philharmonic Orchestra and loves to spend time in the outdoors with his friends and family.
Haley Corsaro is a sophomore at Carmel High School in her second year of radio. She’s 15 and does dance at Metropolitan Youth Ballet and has been dancing for more than 10 years. In her free time, she plays guitar, does photography, and loves listening to music, especially from Green Day and Gracie Abrams. She’s looking forward to a great year in sports and WHJE radio!
