About the Contributor
Maurice Ashkar is a junior at WHJE. This is his third year on the station, and he is the mastermind behind 6 Degrees of Musical Separation (6D for short). Throughout his freshman and sophomore years, Maurice has covered and shared music of all kinds, ranging from heavy metal to outlaw country to synth pop. Who knows what he’ll play next on his show? Speaking of his show, Maurice has been solo hosting 6D since 2024, and hopes to continue it as long as possible! When he’s not on air, you can find him playing video games, playing guitar, or discovering new music! Maurice is forced to say he’s excited to be here this year, and although it’s true, he thinks it’s kind of a given if you’re on staff.
