Kate Klinginsmith has been a part of Carmel Soccer for all her years at Carmel and has been a leader from day 1. Her sister is also a member of the team as a freshman this past fall. Kates battled through injury throughout her career and has developed great leadership skills. Even when not on the field, she has shown incredible leadership and has helped rally her team when they need. She was also a key player in Carmel’s incredible run to the State Championship, where they finished as runners-up. 

Kate has been incredibly proud to represent her school and all the history it has, and the program. She says that the community coming together for the school and the team is really special to her and has made a lasting impact on her. She is incredibly grateful for the team this year and all the amazing girls she was able to be around, and the bonds that they made. As she continues her journey playing in college, she will never forget the lasting memories she made while playing with the Carmel logo on. 

First-year Head Coach John Simmons is incredibly proud and feels so lucky to have had Kate as a member of his team. Kate and all the Seniors on the team helped lead and mentor the younger players to be the best they can be while, at the same time, training, studying, and being recruited on the D1 level. Coach Simmonds wants to say thank you to Kate and all the seniors and describes Kate as “The ideal student athlete model at CHS.”
