Christina Mauck Interview

The Carmel choir department welcomed a new director at the start of the 2015-2016 school year. Christina Mauck joined the other directors Katherine Kouns and John Burlace, to help direct the massively talented Carmel choirs. At Carmel High School, Mauck directs Descants, Encores, Allegro and Blue and Gold while also assisting with Ambassadors show choir. The new director talks with WHJE staff member Rachel Lacy about her experiences with show choir growing up and about her first ever job after graduating from college the previous year.

  • I really liked the choir singing in the background at the beginning. The background noise was a little distracting, but would’ve been cool if it wasn’t as loud. It would’ve been good to chunk up Christina’s dialogue with some of the reporter’s dialogue, since she was talking quickly. I liked how the reporter kept the interview whole, and didn’t cut too much out of it.

CountDown To RadioThon 2018!

91.3 WHJE RadioThon 2018May 12, 2018
WHJE is proud to bring back an old tradition of Radio-Thon! This May, WHJE will be providing listeners with 12 straight hours of live programming in order to raise fund to improve the learning experience for our WHJE Students. WHJE Radio-Thon is not only a fundraiser, but a time for WHJE staff members to grow in their skill, take immense pride in their station while bringing the community and alumni together. Our programming would be filled with content that is completely student made. Radio-thon is by the students, for the students. By doing this fundraiser we hope to raise enough money to buy better equipment, enabling the continued success of WHJE and it’s staff members in the future.
